About UsBefore Chuck started in the vehicle tracking business in 2001, he owned a two-way radio repair shop called Dr. Dispatch in Albuquerque. He specialized in the maintenance and repair of 800MHz trunked radios, which included both EF Johnson LTR, and Motorola Privacy Plus Type I/II protocols. His company supported customers in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Chuck began his electronics training with the Texas Army National Guard based out of Fort Worth, Texas where he grew up. He landed a job at the Motorola Communications factory located there in Fort Worth and stayed there until the factory downsized and eventually relocated their communications division outside of the state. He then went to work for Uniden America Corp located in Arlington, Texas as a factory depot repair technician and was later promoted to a Technical Support position, trouble-shooting problems for customers over the telephone. While at Uniden, Chuck met many ex-Motorola engineers and technicians. One of these engineers replaced his repair department's management position. This engineer later left the company and started a two-way radio department for Electronic Office Systems in Missouri. The two-way radio department separated from the main company and is now called RSC Communications. Chuck relocated to Independence, Missouri and started his repair experience outside of the factory. While in Missouri, he was the assistant manager over the two-way radio department, managing the repair shop, customer activations and authorizations, maintaining a number of repeater sites including setting up a number of repeater sites. He also maintained a Motorola Privacy Plus repeater system for Airtime Rentals based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Airtime Rentals offered Chuck a management position in Albuquerque and started up a repair shop to provide services for their customer base in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Airtime Rentals shortly sold out their sales and service department but retained their repeater services after Chuck relocated. In 1996, Chuck started Dr. Dispatch which provided repair service to companies on a number of Motorola Privacy Plus systems in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Dr. Dispatch was a viable company until his business was bought out in the fall of 2000 thus opening the door to his new venture in vehicle tracking. In the spring of 2001 he joined a partnership called Southwest AVL, focusing on 2-way radio vehicle tracking in the Albuquerque area. The company eventually dissolved and Chuck looked into other forms of vehicle tracking. In the fall of 2003, Chuck started his own business called High Desert Vehicle Tracking, LLC. which focused on cellular and satellite vehicle tracking, plus passive recording products. In the fall of 2005, Chuck opened DFW Vehicle Tracking in Fort Worth, Texas where he grew up. His motivation was prompted demand for his products and services in the DFW area. Chuck's sales, installation crews and service personnel have been selected by people he personally knows or reservists from military communications platoons, focusing on a staff of integrity and good work ethics. |
